This was our annual trip to Alafia River State Park. We arrived in Site #8 on Tuesday and worked Tuesday and Wednesday. We took Thursday and Friday off and had nice lunches out each day (Cherry’s and Chili’s).
The weather was perfect and our friends arrived on Friday afternoon. I brought my 40x spotting scope along so our friend’s daughters could use it to enjoy the night sky with the lack of light pollution in the area. Unfortunately, it was a new moon, so we couldn’t get a good view of the moon, but on Saturday night there was enough moon showing to see some of it’s craters.
All in all, it was another great weekend at Alafia River State Park.
