Today we migrated to one of our favorite all time campgrounds, Lake Catherine State Park. This is our third stopover here and the first on the way out to Denver. We are in Site #64 which is right on the lake and this is the first time we have been here during the summer when we could actually get in the water (which was like bath water). It’s a hopping place this time of year. We will be here three nights.
Tomorrow we plan to hike the 4.5 mile Dam Mountain Trail and then put on our swimming trousers and jump in the lake. Tuesday we will hike the 2 mile Falls Branch Trail which we hiked on our previous visit. Beth also plans to get some kayaking in during our visit.
